Level 3 Courses will be in-person at 9am and 12pm in classrooms across our regional locations.

Strategy for Living (In-person at regional location, 9am)

Getting the most out of life. Making time work for you. Preventing mental breakdown and moral failure. Choosing the right vocation and the right life partner. Establishing friendships. These are some of the vital and practical issues that will be dealt with from a Biblical perspective in this course. The purpose of this course is to help Christians develop a wholesome lifestyle in a world where we are expected to perform and produce results under intense pressure.

Casting Out Demons (In-person at regional location, 12pm)

This course provides teaching on the existence, origin and nature of demonic spirits. It exposes their real agenda and purposes. An important part of the study shows how people provide access for demon spirits to get into their lives and how demon spirits manifest themselves. The second half of the course will equip students with the knowledge for deliverance, casting out demons through the power of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of spiritual gifts. Instructions are also given on how the ones who are delivered can maintain their condition of liberty so that they can experience a life of victory in Christ.

Asian Religions (YouTube)

*Please note that this is a hybrid class. (9 lessons via YT & 3 lessons via Zoom on 22/10, 19/11, 17/12 at 2pm).

Knowledge of the religious world-view of our non-Christian friends and neighbours is essential if we want to win them to Christ. This course will equip you with an understanding of religion, its origins and its expressions through some of the major religions of the world. We will focus our studies on a comparative study of the major Asian religions – Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam – with biblical Christianity. The belief systems and the practices of these religions will be studied together with how they compare with measure up to what the Bible teaches. Two case studies will be presented to help students be aware of cultural and religious sensitivities that may cause roadblocks to the effective sharing of the Gospel.

Process of Counselling (YouTube)

*Please note that this is a hybrid class. (9 lessons via YT & 3 lessons via Zoom on 22/10, 19/11, 17/12 at 2pm).

This course is important for those who minister to others. This is the first of the three courses on counselling and will deal with the basic principles. You will learn the various theories and approaches of counselling based on the Word of God. Students who complete this course will understand the differences between the Biblical basis of counselling and secular counselling.

General Epistles (YouTube)

Why are the letters of James, Peter and Jude important? James deals with practical aspects of Christian living – Christianity made real through our words that brings life to others, our works of faith and our walk marked by godliness. The letters of First and Second Peter were written to encourage believers in the Early Church to keep their hope focused on the return of Christ in a time of severe persecution. It is this same hope that will see us through tough times. Jude was written to believers in the Early Church to warn them against the false teaching that God’s grace is an excuse for immoral living and to contend against false teachers who had denied “our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ”.

Purpose of the Church (YouTube)

The Church seems to mean different things for different people. In this course, we offer the Biblical perspective of the Church. We will trace the original concept of the Church in Matt 16:18, then to its birth by the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts. We will then follow its establishment and expansion by the apostles and ultimately to its present position. This course also deals with the roles, functions and responsibilities of believers as members of the Church to prepare and perfect her as the glorious bride of Christ for His return.

Johannine Literature (YouTube)

This course provides an overview of the writings of John, thus the term, “Johannine Literature.” In both the Gospel of John and his letters, John’s writings are characterised by his vivid descriptions of the humanity and divinity of Jesus. While the Gospel of John deals with the doctrine of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the letters of John (1, 2 and 3 John) are intensely pastoral and practical. John writes them as an eyewitness and also as one who actually heard, touched, interacted with and received “the Word of Life” into his own life.

The pastoral application then follows: if a person has had the same experience of being touched by the “Word of Life”, he should “walk in the light as He is in the light”. If we have this life, we will relate with others based on the love of God that is part of His kind of life. Thus, in our walk and in our relationships with one another, we have both the test and the assurance of our identity as true sons of God.

Genesis (YouTube)

This study of the first book of the Bible is intended to lay a firm foundation for the believer’s knowledge of the rest of the Old and New Testament. The purpose, theme and structure of the book is summarised in a simple outline which divides it into two main sections:
• primeval history dealing with Creation, the Fall and the Flood;
• dispersion to the nations; and
• patriarchal history dealing with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph

The course takes the student through Genesis chapter by chapter. The provisions of sacrifice as atonement for sin and God’s covenant with mankind through Abraham are discovered within the events and personalities in the book.

Pastoral Epistles (YouTube)

First and Second Timothy and Titus are known as the “Pastoral Epistles” or “Pastoral Letters”. They were written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy and Titus, his sons in the faith, on the occasions of them being sent to oversee the churches in Ephesus and Crete respectively. Paul’s charge to Titus was to “set in order the things that are lacking” for the churches in Crete. His instructions to Timothy point to a similar exhortation for him to do likewise for the church in Ephesus.

In these letters, Paul provided criteria for the proper selection of overseers and deacons to help minister and lead the local church. Teaching is given to ensure overseers and leaders focus on a right personal walk with God, relate rightly with the members of the congregation and know what to focus on in their pastoral ministry.

Lives of the Prophets (YouTube)

Our study begins with Elisha, who received the mantle of Elijah after the latter was taken up to heaven in a fiery chariot. The life of Elijah is the subject of another course in Level 8. A second major section in this course is devoted to the three “major prophets” — Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah. They all had several things in common: they prophesied God’s impending judgment on Israel and captivity in Babylon because of the backslidden ways of their kings, priests, prophets and the people. They spoke of a time when God would graciously restore the destiny of the nation. They all went through
suffering and persecution because of their faithfulness to proclaim the Word of the Lord. Their prophecies were fulfilled. They accomplished the purposes of God in their time and generation.

The last part is an overview of Daniel, Jonah, Hosea, Amos and Zechariah. In each of the sketches of the prophets studied, we aim to learn from their call into the office of a prophet, the work of grace in enabling them to fulfil that call and their commitment to be faithful to the One who called them, even if it meant deprivation, punishment, imprisonment and death.

Life of Moses (YouTube)

In this course, you will learn core principles of spiritual leadership exemplified in the life of Moses. In learning how God calls, prepares, trains and equips a man so that he ultimately becomes a “mighty man of valour”, you will discover the various tests that a leader must go through. When you complete the course, you will find the “secrets to passing the tests of leadership”.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit (YouTube)

In times of uncertainty, we have a power source that does not change. Jesus asked His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for this power. This course explores ways to grow in intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Moreover, students will learn how to hear His voice and walk in His wisdom, anointing and in His power and gifts.

Managing Transitions Successfully (YouTube)

It has often been said that ‘change is the only constant’ and the rapid pace of change today can bring anxiety and confusion.

Going through life’s many transitions can be overwhelming. Questions we have may include:

  • How do we embrace change?
  • What steps can we take to help us navigate changes more effectively?
  • How do we tap on God’s wisdom and grace as we go through change?

This course equips students with Godly wisdom, practical tips, life skills to not just survive but thrive in seasons of change.

Imparting Faith At Home (2pm via Zoom for 6 weeks)

Faith is meant to be imparted by parents in the setting of a home. Sadly though, many parents are neglecting this responsibility and leaving it to the Church. But children only come to Church on Sundays; what about Monday through to Saturday? This 6-week course will help parents answer the ‘whys’ and the ‘how’s’ of imparting faith at home. It will focus on:

  • Importance of imparting faith at home
  • Principles for imparting faith at home
  • Strategies for imparting faith at home
