Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:22-24

 

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. Colossians 3:10

 

Prayer Pointers:

1. Take time to allow God to reveal to you areas of your life that are not pleasing to Him and ask for forgiveness.
2. Make a commitment to God to turn away from your old ways of living and to seek Him for His ways and thoughts.
3. Ask for strength to be consistent in living out the new nature.

 

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for the Holy Spirit who transforms me from the inside out. I renounce the parts of my life that I know are wrong or feel ashamed of. Thank You that I don’t have to face my struggles alone and can be assured of Your unchanging love and grace. Help me to be more like Christ in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
